Book Review #9

Hannibal

Hannibal, by Thomas Harris is, at least for me, Harris' greatest book. It tells the story of Hannibal's free life. This book is told though the perspective of many individuals, yet all of them are equally exciting, and gruesome. This is a book that a review can not bring to justice. For anyone who enjoys suspense book READ THIS BOOK! 5 stars!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
In J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, it's Harry's 3rd year at Hogwarts and the action is really starting to heat up. After discovering that he, Harry, had a God Father Harry set out to find him. Little did he know that his God Father was an accused Wizard Killer who had escaped from the seemingly inescapable Azkaban. Harry thinks his God Father may know something about his parents. He could never have prepared for what came next. A great read. 4 stars.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, by J.K Rowling, documents Harry Potter's second year at the wizard school Hogwarts. Throughout this book the three main characters, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, discover a chamber near the school. While in the chamber they encounter many strange creatures and Harry discovers something about himself. J.K. Rowling truly difines herself as a master book writer in this novel. A very good read.
4 1/2 stars.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, by J.K. Rowling, tells the story of a young boy thrust into an unfamiliar world of Wizards ad Witches. Throughout the book Harry meets many interesting and diverse characters. Unstable as he is, Harry Potter slowly builds confidence throughout the book as he realizes his destiny. The Gargoyle

The Gargoyle, by Andrew Davidson, depicts the story of a man who has been shot down when he was at the height of his life. HE was a handsome fellow who could easily have his way with the ladies, but when he gets in a near fatal car accident his life is flipped upside down. His mind is clouded with thoughts of suicide until he meets the girl, Marianne Engel. This changes his life. In the end this book seems to be a fairly entertaining read. I'll give it 3 1/2 stars!  Want to learn more? Read the book!

Inca Gold

Inca Gold, by Clive Cussler, tells the story of Dirk Pitt and his quest to fimd an old Spanish treasure ship. Along his quest he is met with many obstructions, such as a group of brutal museum looters. This is a great novel stuffed to its breaking point full of action. Red Dragon

Red Dragon by Thomas Harris, tells the story of a man who is 'Becoming' this man, Francis Dolarhyde, is transforming into the 'Red Dragon', a half dragon, half man bred for murder and cannibilism. Thoughout the story Hannibal Lecter(see book review #2) is asked to get into the mind of the killer. Will Graham, the protagonist of the story, is desperately searching for the Red Dragon before he can kill more people. All in all this is a great thriller book, some of Thomas Harris' best work. 4 1/2 stars.

I strongly suggest you read this book.

Book Review # 2

Hannibal Rising

Hannibal Rising, by Thomas Harris, visits the young child hood of a future serial killer. It delves deep into a young Hannibals mind. Some will say that it's boring, but surely it is not. In this book the author describes beautiful scenery and wonderful action. Personally it feels like an instant classic, although there was no real plot other than revenge Thomas Harris makes it wonderful. Although some scenes in the book are absurd, which I will not get into, it leads the reader into the tortured soul of Hannibal Lecter. In all I would give this book a 4/5. Not amazing, but certainly a good read.

The Silence of the Lambs

The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris is a wonderful thriller with non stop action. It is thought by many that the book is too graphic to be read by anyone, this statement is completely false. Thomas Harris' character back stories and wonderful setting make this a beautiful book to read. The main character in this story, a homicidal genius by the name of Hannibal Lecter, is an extremely interesting person. In this novel the author reveals the complexities of human psychology to the best of his abilities. He unravels the human mind of a genius who has been locked up for many years. In all this is an amazing story the likes of which I have never read before. It should easily be awarded 4.5 out of 5 stars. Bravo Thomas Harris.
